RAPPORT
As explained in the
last blog, rapport or relationship is important. If you are shy to speak openly
it is like seeing a horse when you are expecting a camel. Just like your
wedding planner, you might be demanding too much from their ability. Because
you are the boss, they cannot say “NO” to you.
Identify a wedding
planner that will work best on you. First, feel the vibes. This might sound too
abstract, but follow that gut feel first time you meet them. Listen to their
stories, how they speak, and their body language, ask them questions… At the
end of the conversation, it is like finding a partner.
Wedding planner,
wedding coordinator, events manager and everybody that is working in related
industries should understand that “what they are working for is an industry of
celebrations”. Exciting isn’t? People are staging event for reasons of
thanksgiving, reasons of reunion, and reasons of celebration (the first two reasons draw insignificant
thin line on celebrations). Thus, these people should radiate happiness,
kindness, and a hundred fold of positivity. No rooms for negative vibes.
Celebrations
build relationships and relationships create celebrations. There is no question
about it that is why you are getting married.
