THREE THINGS IN CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING COORDINATORS (PART 1 of 2)


Wedding coordinators and or wedding planners play vital roles on realizing well-organized weddings. If you have been dreaming that “wedding to be” for a long time then read this article. We advised you to be cautious on choosing your wedding coordinators and or wedding planners.Here are quick tips that may help you:


1. CREATIVE
It is all about wedding logistics. Wedding logistics is not a baby task. You should find people who have logistical ability better than yours. The wedding planner should be knowledgeable on everything you wanted and how that everything you wanted will be delivered to you - creatively! Yes, creativity is a must. Examine your planners if they are creative enough catering your needs.

How? Read their proposal. Check their offices and or online accounts. And most importantly TALK TO THEM PERSONALLY. In finding creative people – they answer questions very well, they love challenges and they are full of positivity.



2. RELIABLE
There are coordinators and or planners with “fly by night” scheme, meaning you see them today and they will forget you tomorrow. Do not read me wrong, but most of the freelance coordinators have the tendency to fly by night. Track records will speak on their behalf.  By choosing reliable coordinators,you have to check their personal background and investigate on their business image. If they are part of a company with a decent facility, that will be better. Just remember, you should know where to go when emergency situation happens.

Also, choose a coordinator within your event location and or within your community. For example, if you are getting married in Bicol, a Bicolano wedding planner and or coordinator will help you most. It may lessen the costs for Out of Town delivery of services plus they knew very well the event environment; Like where to locate the best local souvenirs for your wedding favors, affordable hotels for your guests, ethnic dancers for your reception entertainment and a lot of local stuffs.


Now, if you wanted something closer to you… Find a coordinator of your “kababayan”. Because you speak the same language, same childhood setting, same community, there are greater chances that he or she understands better than your coordinator from another island.
